Upcycled Three-Tiered Farmhouse Display Stand
Posted by DecoArt on Feb 18th 2021
Use our new Saltwash Farmhouse Value Pack and everyday items to build a 3-tiered farmhouse stand.
SUPPLIES
- fine-grit sandpaper
- 3/4" oval brush
- wooden knob
- E6000 Glue
- candleholder
- chip brush
- finial
- cake pans
INSTRUCTIONS
- Gather the materials.
- Lightly sand all the pieces.
- Paint all parts with Grey Sky. Allow to dry.
- TIP: If you have wooden balls to paint, stick them on the ends of markers for clean handling while painting and drying.
- Mix Texture Sand Paste with Grey Sky in a 1:1 ratio. Using a chip brush, brush the mix randomly onto the pans, candleholders, and wooden parts. (This will add some texture to some areas.) Allow to dry.
- Brush Vintage Effect Grey onto some areas of all the parts, leaving other areas of the lighter grey showing. Allow to dry.
- Brush Vintage Effect White onto all pieces, leaving some of the grey areas showing and leaving some drips. (Have fun with it; go for the look that appeals to you.) Allow all pieces to dry completely.
- Begin to glue parts of the stand together using a heavy-duty glue like an epoxy or E6000. (I glued the four wooden feet on the bottom tier first.)
- Continue gluing the parts together, cleaning up any excess glue before it dries.
- Stack the glued pieces together and set on a level surface to dry.
- This is a great project to use many different recycled items to make an eye-catching décor item.
