Q&A

I have wood sealed and painted with lt. buttermilk. I want to end up with a crackled frame… I want to paint deco-art black green over the wood so the crackles show the light buttermilk underneath. How do I get that to happen? Do I first apply weathered wood and let the weathered wood completely dry or partially dry before I apply the green over it and will the lt buttermilk show through? Or do I cover the lt buttermilk with the green and then when dry apply the weathered wood? Thank you for any help you can provide.Carolyn Wolfe
Hi Carolyn. Thank you for your question. I would test this before doing it on the whole project, but we would recommend letting the weathered wood completely dry before applying the green.
