"May Your Days Be Merry and Bright" Canvas

Add an overcoat of Staining/Antiquing Medium and Americana Acrylics gives this holiday canvas an antiqued look.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- sandpaper
- flat brush
- small liner brush
- tracing & transfer paper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Paint entire canvas, including sides, Indian Turquoise. Allow to dry and paint with another coat if needed to cover well. Let dry completely.
- Transfer pattern to canvas.
- Paint bird and hat Cadmium Red.
- Paint polka dots Baby Blue; beak, Saffron Yellow; and hat trim, Snow White. Let dry.
- Line snowflakes and letters and outline around bird, hat, feet and beak with Lamp Black and small liner brush.
- Put two small Lamp Black dots for bird's eyes. Allow to dry completely. When dry, sand entire canvas lightly for aged look.
- Mix Staining/Antiquing Medium and Espresso according to package instructions and brush all over canvas, covering completely. Wipe away excess stain with paper towel and allow to dry.
- Seal with several coats of Americana DuraClear Matte Varnish, allowing to dry between coats.
