Liven up your living space with an accent pillow stenciled in a geometric design with metallic shine.

SUPPLIES

• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• sponge brush
• painter's tape
• black canvas throw pillow
• 1/4" detail brush
• rubber gloves
• parchment paper

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Squeeze a small amount of each Dazzling Metallic color onto palette or plastic plate so you have access to all colors at once.
2. Remove pillow insert from pillow case. Insert a sheet of parchment paper inside the pillow case to prevent paint from bleeding onto reverse side. Also, if the pillow cover has a seam on the back, the paper/cardboard insert will prevent the paint from showing that seam line in the painted design.
3. Apply stencil at center of pillow cover. Cover border lines on stencil with painter's tape. (This will also help hold the stencil in place.)
4. Create a rough coat of color using the sponge brush with Rich Espresso and Glorious Gold and layering the colors, allowing them to partially cover the stenciled design. Allow to dry.
5. Add second layer of color by covering stenciled area loosely using the sponge brush and Champagne Gold. (Some of the previous colors should show through slightly along edges or shape areas.)
6. Remove stencil.
7. Using the small brush and Glorious Gold, add details throughout the design. Add stripes, lines, and highlights on various shapes
