Colorful Craft Stick Photo Display

Add a touch of color to a photo wall with these photo holders made with Americana® Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • parchment paper
    • clothespins
    • craft or wood glue
    • 3/4" paintbrush
    • jumbo wood craft sticks

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Protect the work surface from paint using a sheet of parchment paper.

    Paint all sides of the wooden craft sticks and clothespins. Apply a second coat if needed for more coverage.

    Allow paint to dry fully before applying a second coat and before assembling the pieces with glue.

    1. Work on one color combination at a time. Gather the following colors to create the red, pink, and orange photo display: Coral Blush, Bright Orange, Baby Pink, Carousel Pink, and Primary Red.

    2. Paint two craft sticks in Coral Blush.

    3. Paint two craft sticks in Bright Orange.

    4. Paint two craft sticks in Baby Pink.

    5. Paint two craft sticks in Carousel Pink.

    6. Paint two craft sticks in Primary Red.

    7. Paint one clothespin in Primary Red. Let all dry.

    8. Once dry, position the eight painted craft sticks in a horizontal pattern on a flat surface with the right side facing down. Leave two painted craft sticks on the side. (See photo.)

    9. Add glue to the back side of one of the extra painted craft sticks.

    10. Place the glued craft stick over top of the other sticks and press in place to secure.

    11. Repeat with the other remaining painted craft stick.

    12. Put aside until the glue dries completely.
    13. Turn the glued sticks face up and add glue to the mid section of the clothespin.

    14. Press the clothespin to the top center of the glued, painted sticks and press in place to secure.

    15. Repeat these steps for the other color combinations.
    16. Gather the following colors to create the blue and purple photo display: Desert Turquoise, True Blue, Bahama Blue, Lavender, and Purple Pizzazz

    17. Gather the following colors to create the yellow and green photo display: Cadmium Yellow, Sour Apple, Citron Green, Festive Green, and Saffron Yellow

    18. Allow the glue to dry completely before adding photos.
