Woodland Ornament Place Card

Make these place card ornaments with Americana® Acrylics and let guests take them home.
SUPPLIES
- sandpaper
- liner brush
- medium flat brush
- drill and drill bits
- wood slices
- thin ribbon or string
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- white color pencil
- medium acorns
INSTRUCTIONS
- Gather medium-sized acorns with loops for hanging. (I used two per place card plus made extra for a centerpiece.) (TIP: if you can't find any medium sized acorns with a loop, use real ones and hot glue them on.)
- Gather 4" wood slices. (As many as needed for your guests.)
- Using a medium flat brush, paint the wood slices with Neutral Grey, leaving the raw edges unpainted. Allow to dry. Lightly sand, if needed. Apply a second coat for even coverage. Allow to dry.
- Using the provided pattern for font and shapes, draw on the name of each guest and some image decoration along the bottom half of the round with a white colored pencil. Paint the lines with Cool White, using a liner brush. Allow to dry.
- Optional: If the wood round do not have a hole for hanging, drill a small hole at the top.
- Coat the wood slices with Soft-Touch Varnish. Allow to dry. Gather ribbon/string for each. (Approximately 12" for each.)
- Paint half of the acorns with Avocado and the other half with Celery Green Allow to dry and apply a second coat for even coverage. Allow to dry.
- Using a liner brush, paint decorative elements onto each acorn with Cool White.
- Using a flat brush, dry-brush Champagne onto the tops of the acorns and their loops or stems. Let dry completely.
- Assemble the ornaments with the wood round, acorn, and ribbon hanger. Add them to the Woodland-Themed Fall Charger Plate and Woodland -hemed Place Mat and Napkin Set to make a complete fall table setting.
- Add the Woodland-Themed Table Décor to create an entire woodland-themed tablescape.
