Wooden Medallion Boho-Inspired Necklace

Use Vintage Effect Wash™ and Americana® Acrylics to make a medallion necklace (or two) with some boho whimsy.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- sandpaper
- dry rag or paintbrush
- fine/small round brush
- leather cord
- graphite pencil
- drill and small drill bit
- 1" flat paintbrush
- 2" basswood round
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the basswood round, sanding the surface until smooth with sandpaper.
- Using a 1" flat paintbrush, paint on either Pink and Patina onto the round. Wipe off excess paint using a dry rag and/or brush.
- With a graphite pencil, free-hand the monogram letter of your choice or a heart.
- Paint the heart/monogram base with Indian Turquoise, Pumpkin, Coral Blush, Cadmium Yellow, Melon, Wild Orchid, Peacock Teal, Sea Breeze, Pineapple, or Wisteria.
- Embellish the monogram base with accents and highlights around the heart/monogram. (These can be highlights, dots, and/or flowers.)
- Once finished accenting and highlighting, drill a very small hole through the top of the round for the cord of your choice (leather, cotton, etc).
