Wood Slice Christmas Gift Tags

Use inexpensive wood slices to embellish gifts or the Christmas tree this season.

SUPPLIES

    • transfer paper
    • sandpaper
    • 1/2" flat brush
    • sheet of clear vinyl
    • drill and drill bits
    • paintbrushes
    • birch value bag
    • baker's twine

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Free-hand circles onto the wood slices using a 1/2 " flat brush and Snow White. Let dry completely.

    3. Once dry, apply vinyl stencils (or hand-paint wording and names).

    5. Paint the negative space on each stencil.

    7. Remove the stencils and add desired dots to wood slices using the handle end of a paintbrush dipped in paint. Let dry.

    9. Sand each wood slice to distress. Using a drill, create holes in each slice.

    11. Add baker's twine so each slice can hang or be attached to a gift.

    13. Hang the tags as ornaments.
