- transfer paper
- scissors
- ruler
- 1" flat brush
- fine-grit sandpaper
- 1/2" flat brush
- 1/4" flat brush
- decorative paper

INSTRUCTIONS
- Use a ruler and pencil to draw a checkerboard design on sides of table, leaving space for a border around the edge.
- Paint alternating squares of the checkerboard design with Everlasting and Carbon, using a 1/2" flat brush.
- Paint the table legs and the trim with Heritage and a 1" flat brush.
- Paint a border on each side using Treasure and a 1/4" flat brush.
- Use a ruler to draw a design on the table top, leaving a 1-1/2" border around the edge. Trace a circular object such as a glass to get the circle shape in the center, then fill circle with checkboard pattern.
- Fill in remaining areas of tabletop design with other colors, referring to finished photo for placement.
- Use tracing paper to trace the shape of the table legs, taking care to trace 1/4" inside the edge so that the Heritage border will still be seen.
- Use traced pattern and transfer paper to transfer shape to decorative paper, then cut out with scissors.
- Attach decorative paper pieces to table legs using Decou-Page, following package instructions. Allow to dry completely.
- Distress table with sandpaper, taking care not to rip the decorative paper. Focus on the edges and painted areas to achieve a casual, aged look.
- If desired, coat entire table with Ultra-Matte Varnish to seal.
