Winter Place Setting for your table

Set a festive wintertime table with coordinated pieces made with Glass Paint Markers, SoSoft, and Americana Multi-Surface Satin Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • #8 flat brush
    • plain blue fabric placemat
    • plain white dinner plate, bowl, and scalloped bowl
    • papier mâché cone
    • wooden JOY ornament
    • champagne glass
    • 1" wood disc
    • #6 filbert brush
    • #8 dome blender brush
    • two 6" lengths of silver wire
    • hand drill
    • wire wrap pliers
    • #3/0 liner brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Placemat : Outline placemat around edge with Silver Platinum using 3/0 liner brush.
    2. Outline placemat around inside edge of Silver Platinum with True Blue SoSoft using 3/0 liner brush.
    3. Outline placemat around inside edge of True Blue SoSoft with Island Blue using 3/0 liner brush
    4. In one corner, paint Silver Platinum snowflake.
    5. Outline snowflake with True Blue SoSoft and Island Blue.
    6. Paint two rows of 1-1/2” curls around entire placemat with White and 3/0 liner brush.
    7. Outline curls about 1/4" to make border using White and 3/0 liner brush.
    8. Add shadow inside curls with Island Blue using #8 dome blender brush.
    9. Add shadow inside of inside row of curls only with Silver Platinum and #8 dome blender brush.
    10. Dinner Plate: Wash plate to remove any dust or debris. Wait until completely dry.
    11. Draw half snowflake with Silver Glass Paint Marker.
    12. Air cure for eight hours and then place in non-preheated oven to bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool.
    13. Bowl: Wash bowl to remove any dust or debris. Wait until completely dry.
    14. Add scalloped edge around top edge with Silver Glass Paint Marker.
    15. Add another scalloped edge around opposite side to create circles with Blue Glass Paint Marker.
    16. Air cure for eight hours and then place in non-preheated oven to bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool.
    17. Small Scalloped Bowl: Wash bowl to remove any dust or debris. Wait until completely dry.
    18. Add straight line around top edge with Silver Glass Paint Marker.
    19. Add another straight line underneath with Blue Glass Paint Marker.
    20. Air cure for eight hours and then place in non-preheated oven to bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool.
    21. Cone Accent: Paint entire cone Shimmering Silver with #8 flat brush.
    22. Outline bottom of cone with Black Pearl on #8 flat brush.
    23. Outline cone on top of Black Pearl with Snow White using #6 filbert brush.
    24. Outline cone on top of Snow White with Blue Lagoon using #6 filbert brush
    25. Outline cone on top of Blue Lagoon with True Blue Multi-Surface Satin using #6 filbert brush
    26. Using Snow White and #6 filbert brush, paint 1” curls all around cone in rows up to top.
    27. At top of cone, paint about 1/2” down with Blue Lagoon.
    28. Paint zigzag pattern at top with Snow White with #6 filbert brush.
    29. Paint zigzag pattern under Snow White with True Blue Multi-Surface Satin with #6 filbert brush.
    30. Paint another zigzag pattern under True Blue with Snow White on #6 filbert brush.
    31. Joy Ornament:Paint back and sides of ornament Black Pearl with #8 flat brush.
    32. Outline around word with Black Pearl on #8 flat brush.
    33. Paint inside of letter Y with Ice Blue using #6 filbert brush
    34. Paint inside of letter O with Blue Lagoon
    35. Paint top of letter J and inside of triangles on letter O Shimmering Silver.
    36. Paint inside of letter J with mixture of Blue Lagoon and Snow White.
    37. Paint circles on ornament with Ice Blue.
    38. Paint inside of bottom zigzags on letter J with Sky Blue.
    39. Wrap wire twice into circle and then through hole in O.
    40. Champagne Glass: Wash glass to remove any dust or debris. Let dry completely.
    41. Draw half snowflake around bottom of glass with Silver Glass Paint Marker.
    42. Draw another smaller full snowflake on side of glass.
    43. Air cure for eight hours and then place in non-preheated oven to bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool.
    44. Water Glass: Wash glass to remove any dust or debris. Let dry completely.
    45. Draw half a snowflake around bottom of glass with Silver Glass Paint Marker.
    46. Draw 1” curls around middle of glass with Blue Glass Paint Marker.
    47. Air cure for eight hours and then place in non-preheated oven to bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool.
    48. Wine Glass Charm:Paint back and sides of wood disc Ice Blue with 3/0 liner brush.
    49. Paint front of disc Blue Lagoon.
    50. Add shadow to create dimension at top and bottom using Sky Blue.
    51. Paint five Shimmering Silver diamond shapes across middle of disc with #6 filbert brush. Add little Shimmering Silver circles in between tops and bottoms of diamonds.
    52. Outline diamonds and circles with Carbon Black.
    53. Paint layer of Triple Thick Gloss Glaze on front of disc and let dry.
    54. When dry, drill hole in top.
    55. Cut 2” off 6” wire length and wrap larger piece of wire into circle with loop at end.
    56. Wrap 2” piece of wire through hole in disc; make loop; and loop it through big circle you created.
