    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Mix (2) parts Cotton Ball with (1) part water to make a whitewash. Brush the whitewash onto all sides of the four wooden pieces.
    2. Tear the scrapbook paper into random sizes. Brush Matte Medium onto the wood and press the scrapbook paper onto the wood. Coat with another layer of Matte Medium.
    3. Instruction #2
    4. Dry-brush a small amount of Cotton Ball on top of the patterned paper.
    5. Place the desired stencil over the wood pieces. (Shown: Americana Doily; Brocade & Berry Borders; and Split Angles Stencils; and Americana Re-usable Stick-On Dots Stencil.) Use a palette knife to apply White Modeling Paste inside the stencil. Carefully lift the stencil and immediately sprinkle red or green glitter onto the White Modeling Paste. Tap the wooden piece on the table to shake off any excess glitter and allow the Modeling Paste to dry completely.
    6. Instruction #4
    7. Use the Silhouette machine to cut out desired files from colored cardstock. Brush Matte Medium over the entire board to help seal in the glitter. Press the cardstock greeting onto the board and coat with another layer of Matte Medium.
    8. Instruction #5
    9. Seal all sides of the wood with DuraClear Satin Varnish, if desired.
    10. Screw two eye screws into the top of the wooden piece and one eye screw into the bottom of the wooden piece.
    11. Instruction #7
    12. Lay a piece of twine vertically on the working surface. Gather about eight to ten pieces of different ribbon approximately 12" long and lay these horizontally across the twine. Wrap the twine around the ribbon bundle and tie it into a double knot to secure it.
    13. Use scissors to trim the ribbon ends, as desired.
    14. Instruction #9
    15. Thread the twine through the single eye screw on the bottom of the wood piece and tie it into a double knot to secure it. Cut a piece of ribbon 16" long. Thread each end through the eye screws on the top of the wooden piece and tie each end into a very tight knot. Use scissors to trim the ribbon close to the knot and apply clear liquid glue on the cut ribbon end to secure it in the knot.
