Winterize a house for your feathered friends with Americana® Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

• paper towels
• small wooden birdhouse
• 1" foam brush
• Epsom salts

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Paint the surface of the birdhouse with Slate Grey. Let dry. Paint a second coat, if needed.

2. Mix Snow White with water 1:1.

3. Whitewash the roof of the birdhouse.

4. Use Cocoa to paint the bird perch and distress lines in various places on the birdhouse. Wipe the excess off with a paper towel. Paint the birdhouse edges for a distressed look.

5. Apply a generous amount of Satin Decou-Page to the roof of the birdhouse.

6. Sprinkle Epsom salts on the roof, covering the entire roof surface. Let dry. Apply Decou-Page to the bottom edges and corners of the birdhouse. Apply more Epsom salts and allow to dry.

7. Attach the birdhouse to a wooden base or display as is.
