    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use a permanent marker to draw a star shape on a flat piece of Styrofoam. Use the marker to mark three sections for the tree on the Styrofoam cone.
    2. Carve out the tree sections and the star shape with a craft knife, Versa Tool, or Dremel Tool.
    3. Roll a dowel or other object over the edges of the carved areas to round out and smooth.
    4. Use a fan brush to apply MagiKote. Let dry. Sand off the rough areas.
    5. Using a #12 flat brush, apply a second coat of MagiKote. Let dry. Sand smooth. Use a Dremel Tool or sandpaper wrapped around a dowel to sand inside the carved areas, if desired.
    6. Use a #12 flat brush to paint the star Cadmium Yellow; tree, Festive Green; and terra cotta pot, Santa Red.
    7. Use a fan brush to apply Gold Glitz over the Cadmium Yellow star and Sizzling Red over the Santa Red pot.
    8. Use a round sponge pouncer and Turquoise Blue to stamp dots randomly on the pot.
    9. Stamp the dots with Turquoise Sparkle.
    10. Assembly: Push one end of a toothpick into the star and secure with glue. Position and press the other end of the toothpick into the treetop, securing with glue. Position the tree on top of the pot and secure with glue.
