Beautiful Waterlily Messenger Bag and Shoes

Use a simple book bag, shoes, and DecoArt® Stylin™ to make an art-full fashion statement.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 1" painter's tape
- black canvas shoes
- paintbrushes
- messenger bag
INSTRUCTIONS
- Tape off the areas of the bag that will not be painted.
- Using White and a small paintbrush, lightly paint the outline of the lilies and lily pads on the bag. (Use the pattern provided as a guide.) Using Blue, Turquoise, and Aqua, paint the water using short, swift strokes. (See photo.)
- Paint the lily pads in Green. Use Red and Purple to outline the veins and outer edge of the leaf. Use Blue to shade the leaf and Yellow to add highlights. (See photo.)
- To paint the flower petals, use Fuchsia. Highlight the flowers by lightly blending White and Yellow on the left side of the petals. Use Yellow and Orange to create the stamen in the center of the flower. Add highlights in the water using Yellow. (See photo for placement.)
- Follow the steps above to create the design for the shoes.
