Posted by DecoArt on Feb 23rd 2017
Make a fun watercolor calendar with Americana Acrylics that you can use year after year.
SUPPLIES
- transfer paper
- ruler
- pencil
- flat brush
- wooden box
- liner brush
- paper tag
- cup hooks
INSTRUCTIONS
- Gather all of your supplies, such as a wooden surface, paints, tags, and brushes.
- Paint the inside of your wooden box in Laguna and the outside of the box in white.
- Cut or buy tags made from watercolor paper. You will need at least 26 tags, but you may want a few extra in case you make a mistake. Apply different colors into each tag, adding water to achieve a watercolor effect. Paint all of the tags until all of them are completed. Let dry before moving or touching them.
- Transfer the provided patterns onto each tag. You will need all of the months (12) for the first hook, the first number of the months date (0-4) for the second hook, and then numbers (0-9) on tags for the last hook. Use a liner brush to paint the lettering in black.
- Measure where you would like the hooks to be placed on your surface. Screw the hooks into place. Hang tags for the date.
