    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Allow paint to dry fully before continuing to the next step.

    1. Use Burnt Umber and a little water to create a watercolor; use to paint the entire mask.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a small brush and Carbon Black to create stitches on the chin, Xs around the face, and lines around the mouth.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Create patches: two on the forehead and one on the cheek. For the lighter two stitches, mix Dark Chocolate and Light Buttermilk to get the color desired. Make stitches on the patches with Carbon Black.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. On watercolor paper, create two smaller circles, one of Cobalt Teal and the other of Primary Magenta, for the buttons of the eyes. Also create small Xs for the large stitches over the eye using Carbon Black. Once dry, cut out the circles and the x. From a scratch piece of the watercolor paper painted Primary Magenta, cut out a small heart.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Using a small hole punch, cut four small punches in each eye to create the button. In one of the buttons, make an x with Carbon Black. Add Liquid Glass to the patches, and all of the stitching. Create buttons on the two smaller circles, heart, and x's. Set aside to dry overnight.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Adhere the paper buttons onto the mask with Liquid Glass. Stick floral pins in the eyes.
