Show off your pride of place with this wall accent in muted Americana Acrylic and Americana Gloss Enamel colors.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • three 1" x 4" x 8" furring strips cut into nine 32" pieces
    • 1" x 3" x 8" furring strip cut into two 30" pieces, leaving 36" unused piece
    • power saw
    • 18 wood screws
    • craft paintbrushes
    • 1-1/2" brush
    • state outline

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Construct the wood sign by laying nine 32" pieces of wood together. Sand the wood to smooth any rough edges.
    2. Using wood screws, attach two 30" pieces of wood to the back of 32" pieces. (Use one screw on each piece of wood.)
    3. Apply a combination of Black, Neutral Grey, and Grey Sky to the front of the wood sign.
    4. Using the state template, paint an outline of state on the sign using White Wash.
    5. Paint the inside of the state outline using a combination of White Wash and Sand.
