Vintage Summer Icecream Wall Art

Create a vintage summer icecream wall decoration and add a pop of color to your walls.
SUPPLIES
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- pencil
- 2" chip brush
- 1" flat brush
- variety of pink scrapbook papers
- wire
- 8" x 16" canvas
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Using 1" flat brush base coat canvas with Relic.
- Using a 2" chip brush, dry brush the canvas with Sweet Mint.
- Trace oval onto your scrapbook paper (vintage look works great)and cut out.
- Dampen your 1" flat brush and load with just a bit of Relic. Glide along the edges of the oval cut out.
- Trace icecream shapes onto your scrapbook paper and cut out. Trace cone onto your burlap and cut out
- Dampen your 1" flat brush and load with just a bit of Relic. Glide along the edges of your scrapbook paper cut-outs.
- Place oval scrapbook paper in the center of your canvas and decou-page on using a 1" flat brush.
- Place icecream cut-out in place (refer to photo) and decou-page on using a 1" flat brush.
- Seal entire surface using 1" flat brush with decou-page.
- Twirl wire (about 20 inches long) around a pencil to create coils. Make a small loop on ends and adhere to the back of the canvas with thumb tacks.
