tissue paper (turquoise, light green, yellow, lavender, and pink)
craft knife
low-temp glue gun and glue stick
Styrofoam cone and eggs
floral moss
floral pins
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.
Use a craft knife to cut the eggs in half lengthwise.
Tear each color of tissue into small pieces.
Use a 3/4" flat brush to coat each egg half heavily with Americana Matte Decou-Page. Immediately position tissue pieces, brushing on more Decou-Page as you work. (Overlapping and wrinkling is desired.) Repeat, doing multiple egg halves with each color.
When dry, use a 3/4" flat brush to mix Dark Chocolate and Staining/Antiquing Medium together 1:1. Brush the mix over the eggs and wipe back.
Unroll the floral moss, retaining any bits that may drop off. Position the moss on the Styrofoam cone, securing with pins and hot glue. Cover the entire cone.
Position the egg halves randomly over the moss securing with pins and glue. (Visible pin tops can be covered with dab of glue and pieces of the leftover moss.)
