Vintage Dresser Update

There's no reason to throw out a dresser missing a few drawers when you can create something unique.

SUPPLIES

    • sandpaper
    • dresser
    • clean cloth
    • #2 flat brush
    • #8 stencil brush
    • waxing brush
    • drawer hardware

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Wipe away any dust or dirt on the dresser.

    3. Paint the inside of the dresser's top shelf in Carbon.

    5. Paint the outside of the dresser and all drawers using Yesteryear. Let dry.

    7. Apply a second coat of Yesteryear, if needed.

    9. Distress using a fine-grit sandpaper, focusing on the corners and edges. Remove any sanding dust with a vacuum or rag.

    11. Begin stenciling the top surface of the dresser using Antique Bronze and the Mod Quatrefoil Stencil. (Be careful to line up the stencil each time.)

    13. Let the stenciled top dry completely.

    15. Wax all painted surfaces using Clear Crème Wax and a waxing brush.

    17. Attach the drawer hardware and insert the drawers.
