Making these whimsical heart-shaped pendants with Americana® Acrylics is child's play.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- pencil
- liner brush
- #6 flat brush
- #8 round brush
- electric drill
- wooden heart shape
- ball chain
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use an electric drill to drill a hole at a diagonal through each wooden heart.
- QUEEN: Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace the pattern onto the wooden heart. Use a #8 round brush to paint the face in Snow White. Use a #8 round brush to paint around the face and sides in Cinnamon Drop.
- Use a #8 round brush to paint the heart and cheeks in Poodleskirt Pink. Use a #8 round brush to paint the eyeshadow in Bahama Blue.
- Use a liner brush to paint the eyes in Zinc and the mouth in Cinnamon Drop.
- Use a liner brush to outline the heart in Wisteria. Use a liner brush to paint the crown in Antique Gold and dot the tops in Snow White.
- Use a #6 flat brush to paint checks around the sides in Peony Pink and Poodleskirt Pink. Place a ball chain or ribbon through the drilled hole.
- CAT: Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace the pattern onto the wooden heart. Use a #8 round brush to paint the face in Snow White. Use a #8 round brush to paint around the face and sides in Bahama Blue.
- Use a #8 round brush and Wisteria to paint horizontal stripes on the cat's face. Use a #8 round brush to paint the cheeks in Poodleskirt Pink. Use a #8 round brush to paint the heart in Bahama Blue.
- Use a liner brush to paint the eyes in Zinc. Use a liner brush to paint the nose and mouth in Cinnamon Drop.
- Use a #6 flat brush to paint checks around the side in Peony Pink and Poodleskirt Pink. Place a chain or ribbon through the drilled hole.
