Find some plain cardboard either from a box or a sheet.
Print out the provided heart "cookie" pattern and cut out to use as a template.
Trace the template heart shape onto a piece of cardboard.
Cut out the heart shape.
Using a soft flat brush, paint the base color of the "cookie icing". (For this cookie, I used Bubblegum Pink. TIP: Make sure to leave some of the cardboard edge unpainted to give the look of a cookie with icing.)
Outline the cookie icing with Light Buttermilk, using a liner brush. (TIP: These don't have to be perfect.)
For a "sprinkle" look for this valentine cookie, paint on some random lines with True Red, using a liner brush. Allow to dry.
Turn the valentinesover and paint a personalized message using the three colors and a liner brush.
Have fun with designing many different looks-- pretend you are icing cookies. Use Bubblegum Pink, True Red, and Light Buttermilk in any combination to create a yummy Valentine's Day display that is cute and cohesive.
