Posted by DecoArt on Jul 16th 2015
Upcycle large tin cans using Americana Multi-Surface and rope to create fun stilts for the whole family.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- 1" foam brush
- sponge pouncer
- tin can
- rope
- bottle opener
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Thoroughly wash cans. Remove any labels and adhesive residue.
- Using a 1" foam brush, paint entire can in Orange Sherbet. Let paint dry completely between coats.
- Using a pouncer, randomly add polka-dots to cans in Blue Bird.
- Once paint has dried completely, use a hand-held bottle opener to punch two holes in each can on opposite sides.
- Measure the rope to fit the height of the kids (having a little more rope is better than not enough). Thread the rope through the can and tie a knot to prevent the rope from coming out.
- Flip the cans over and enjoy!
