Upcycle Tin Cans into Fun Polka Dot Stilts

SUPPLIES

Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics

  • Blue Bird (DA527)
  • Orange Sherbet (DA510)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • scissors
  • 1" foam brush
  • sponge pouncer (Americana Dual Sided Pouncers - DABK19)
  • tin can (two large)
  • rope
  • bottle opener

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Thoroughly wash cans. Remove any labels and adhesive residue.

  2. Using a 1" foam brush, paint entire can in Orange Sherbet. Let paint dry completely between coats.

  3. Using a pouncer, randomly add polka-dots to cans in Blue Bird.
  4. Once paint has dried completely, use a hand-held bottle opener to punch two holes in each can on opposite sides.

  5. Measure the rope to fit the height of the kids (having a little more rope is better than not enough). Thread the rope through the can and tie a knot to prevent the rope from coming out.

  6. Flip the cans over and enjoy!
