  1. Gather small bottles of different sizes and shapes. Using a makeup sponge, dab Dijon onto the bottles to give them an old, dirty effect. Dab on some Grey sparingly to give dimension.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Dab Gold around the tops and middles of the bottles.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Tear the edges of the paper to fit onto each bottle as desired. (This will be your "label".) Wet the label and paint on a watered-down 1:1 mix of Canyon Orange and Primary Yellow. Allow to dry.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Paint the skull and moon with a wash of Moody Blue. (Use the label patterns provided or make your own.)
    Step 3 Example
  5. Paint Matte Decou-Page onto the back of the label and onto the bottle where it will be placed. Press and affix. (Curl the edges slightly to give the appearance of an old label that is peeling off.)
    Step 4 Example
  6. Add the image label on top with Matte Decou-Page. Wipe or scrape off the paint on the bottle in some areas of the bottle to give a worn surface.
    Step 5 Example
  7. Pour Jet Black Ready to Pour into each bottle.
    Step 6 Example
  8. Swirl the paint around the bottom and let it run up on the inner sides for a black, gooey appearance.
    Step 7 Example
  9. Add the potion bottles to other DIY projects for a magical display.
    Step 8 Example
  10. A great mixed media project!
    Step 9 Example
