INSTRUCTIONS
- Choose a glass ornament to work with. I chose a clear one, but to save steps you could use a glass ornament of any color to upcycle. Think about what color you would want your "cupcake" to be.
- Choose cupcake papers that will go with your desired cupcake color and design. I chose gold tin.
- Wipe down the glass ornament with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to remove dirt and oil. Using a makeup sponge, dab on layer of Fuchsia and allow to dry.
- Add on several more layers until an even coverage is achieved.
- Place hot glue in the bottoms of four or five cupcake papers to make a stable bottom. Place hot glue in the last paper and place ornament in the paper at an angle. Allow to cool.
- Scoop out Snow-Tex with a palette knife and place in a plastic baggie.
- Squish the Snow-Tex to one corner and cut off a tip with scissors.
- Squeeze out Snow-Tex to create "icing". Place a wooden bead on top for the "cherry". Allow to dry.
- Paint the "cherry" with Santa Red. On the "icing", paint on Clear Ice Comet with a medium flat brush.
- Paint on the sprinkles with Turquoise, Green, Yellow, and Violet Glass Paint Markers. (TIP: Paint one shape per color.) Allow to dry.
- To finish, paint the cherry with Media Gloss Varnish. Allow to dry. Add string or ribbon to hang. Personalize with the year and/or a name, if desired.
- Make even more DIY ornaments to add to a colorful, eclectic tree or give as a gift.
