UFO Pumpkin

No need to phone home to create an other-worldly pumpkin accent; just use Americana® Gloss Enamels.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 3/4" flat brush
- #6 flat brush
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- 6" foam pumpkin
- two foam plates
- 3/8" wooden dowel rod
- four small and seven medium Styrofoam balls
- handsaw
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a handsaw to cut 1/4 of the pumpkin off at the bottom, the dowel into four 6"-pieces, and three of the medium Styrofoam balls in half.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the pumpkin, stem, and dowel Lavender.
- Use a #6 flat brush to paint the three Styrofoam ball halves Calypso Blue.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the foam plates and small Styrofoam balls Shimmering Silver.
- With a #6 flat brush, paint a Shimmering Silver band around the bottom of the Styrofoam ball halves.
- Hot glue the four unpainted Styrofoam balls evenly-spaced inside one plate. Apply hot glue to the tops of the balls and press the other plate on top.
- Stick dowels into the small Shimmering Silver balls and pull out. Secure the dowels in the balls with hot glue.
- Stick the dowels the through plate so that they stick into the balls glued into plate. Pull out, use the glue gun in the balls, and stick the dowels back in.
- Hot glue the Styrofoam ball halves all around the pumpkin about 1/2” from bottom.
- Hot glue the pumpkin to the top plate.
