Bring all the shine and color of a spring garden to a plain vase with Americana Crystal Gloss Enamels.

SUPPLIES

    • painter's tape
    • liner brush
    • soft bristle, full brush
    • chopstick or toothpick
    • soft bristle liner brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Print out pattern; place inside vase and secure with painter’s or masking tape.
    2. Outline tulip petals, stems and leaves with Black and liner brush.
    3. Paint tulips by using soft bristle, full brush. Dip brush generously into paint and softly move paint around, covering to all edges. Larger tulips are painted Red. Smaller tulips are painted Yellow. Let dry completely.
    4. After Yellow tulips dry thoroughly, using soft liner brush, brush on Orange from base of petal to about halfway up each petal.
    5. Paint leaves by using soft bristle, full brush. Dip brush generously into paint and brush onto leaves. (For texture, brush by pressing down to leave slighter darker lines.) Larger leaves are painted Green. (Darker lines can be made throughout leaves by mixing Green and Black 1:1.) Smaller leaves are painted Citron. (Darker lines can be made throughout leaves by using Green.)
    6. Outline butterflies with liner brush and Black.
    7. Using point of toothpick (or, for larger dots, end of chopstick), paint dots on butterfly wings by dipping tip into Blue and lightly dotting vase. Let dry.
    8. After dots are thoroughly dry, lightly brush Blue on butterflies with soft bristle brush.
    9. For more defined, bolder border, trace images with Black when finished painting color.
