    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Dust off any sawdust from the basswood round. Paint the wooden round in desired metallic paint, making sure you keep the brush-stokes going the same way. (Shown: Silver) If the natural edge is desired, paint up to the desired edge. Let dry.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Trace and transfer the candy piece on the wooden round. Paint the candy piece in orange, yellow, and white with a flat brush. Let dry.
    4. After the base layer is dry, write in pencil or use tracing paper to place the saying on the plaque. (Each piece of wood is unique so every word will have to be adjusted on the plaque.) Once you have the words to your liking, paint in the letters on the candy piece in Patent Leather and the other words in orange. Let dry.
    5. Instruction #3
    6. Once the letters and candy are dry, give highlights and depth with complimentary colors (like Rich Espresso) or by mixing white or brown to the original colors to create shadow and highlight.
    7. Instruction #4
