Three Potion Jars

Name your poison with a trio of lethal jars made with a cauldron full of Americana color and Americana DecouPage Glue.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • pencil
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #1 liner brush
    • fine point Sharpie® marker or pen
    • tracing & transfer paper
    • three small glass jars
    • six paper or foam cups
    • three sticks or wooden dowel rods
    • one small sheet each of cardstock in neon orange, purple, and black
    • trimming scissors

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Pour (1) part True Red with (1) part water in cup, mix well, and pour inside jar. Repeat with Thermal Green on second jar and Purple Passion on third.
    2. Pour excess paint back out into cup. Stick dowel in jar and let it drip upside down into empty cup. Repeat on all three. Let dry completely.
    3. Use trimming scissors to cut labels out of cardstock.
    4. Trace and transfer label designs on cardstock.
    5. Use #1 liner brush to paint poison label with Snow White and True Red, zombie virus with Snow White and marker, and vampire love potion with marker.
    6. When jars are dry, apply Americana Matte DecouPage Glue to front with 3/4" flat brush and apply label. Apply more DecouPage to secure. Repeat on all three.
