Terra Cotta Pot Pumpkin Trio for Fall Decor

Use Patio Paint to transform terra cotta pots into decorative pumpkins.
SUPPLIES
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- 1" flat brush
- #10 flat brush
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- masking tape
- empty paper towel roll
- 8" terra cotta pot and saucer
- wooden rolling pin
- floral wire
- paper mache kit
- waxed paper
- 6" terra cotta pot and saucer
- 10" terra cotta pot and saucer
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix papier mache according to package directions, roll out on waxed paper and allow to dry, just until pliable and easy to bend and mold (about 3 hours). Use scissors to cut out various uneven leaves; pinch them in the center to form wrinkles. Let dry completely, then paint Fern Green.
- Cut paper towel core to desired lengths and apply papier mache, leaving rough texture. When completely dry, paint Pinecone Brown.
- Use a sponge brush to basecoat inside and outside of 10" pot and saucer Tiger Lily Orange. Use #10 flat brush to add shaded sections with Holly Berry Red.
- Mix one part Fiesta Yellow and one part Tiger Lily Orange, and then basecoat the 8" pot and saucer. Use #10 brush to add shading with Tiger Lily Orange.
- Mix one part Tiger Lily Orange and one part Holly Berry Red, then basecoat the 6" pot and saucer. Use the #10 flat brush to add shading with Geranium Red.
- Curl covered wire around a pencil, then slide off. Gently pull to expand curls.
- Use the hot glue to attach the stems, leaves and curled wire on lids.
