SUPPLIES

    • sandpaper
    • 2" painter's tape
    • nails
    • shelf bracket
    • 6" x 20" finished wooden boards

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Sand the three pieces of 6" x 20" finished wood until they are smooth.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Paint each piece of wood with a basecoat of either Purple Hydrangea, Dark Turquoise, or Orange. Let dry and apply a second coat to each.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Tape off the stripes with painter's tape. (It makes it super easy if you use 2" wide tape for 2" stripes so you don't have to measure. Just use the tape as a guide.)
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint the alternate color then remove the tape while it is still wet: Use Peachy Keen for the Orange board; Light Heather for the Purple Hydrangea board; and Mint Chocolate Chip for the Dark Turquoise board.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Continue with each color and create the stripes.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Attach the brackets to the shelves.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Hang the shelves.
