Stenciled Stripes and Camera Clipboard

Shutterbugs will love this clipboard covered with images of cameras.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #6 flat brush
    • 1 piece of scrapbook paper
    • mini clipboard
    • cosmetic sponges
    • stamp of choice

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using scrapbook paper of choice with cameras on it, cut out the main image.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a 3/4" flat brush and Coral Blush to basecoat the entire clipboard. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
    4. Place the Americana Classic Lines Stencil over the clipboard and hold in place. Load a clean cosmetic sponge with Snow White and pounce over the stencil. Let dry completely.

    6. Use a 3/4" flat brush and Americana Matte Decou-Page to apply to the surface, place down the scrapbook image, and brush more Decou-Page on top to seal. Rinse brush.

    8. Using a new cosmetic sponge and Slate Grey, add paint to a stamp of your choice. Stamp the image on the clipboard.

    10. Repeat the stamp, this time using Zinc and a clean cosmetic sponge.

    12. Repeat the stamp, this time with Lamp Black and a clean cosmetic sponge.

    14. Print out or cut out from printed material a paper word.

    16. Use a #6 flat brush and Desert Turquoise to paint over the word. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.

    18. Use a 3/4" flat brush to coat Decou-Page on the clipboard surface and adhere the word, smoothing out any air bubbles or wrinkles.

    20. Use more Decou-Page on top of the word to seal. Rinse brush.
