Remove the drawers; remove hardware from the drawers with a small screwdriver. If necessary, clean the lining of the drawers with fabric or upholstery cleaner. Sand all surfaces.
Using a foam brush, paint the jewelry box in Serene.
Position the stencil and hold in place with painter's tape. Paint Lace over the stencil.
Carefully lift the stencil. Wipe all paint off the stencil, then flip to reverse design. Repeat the above step on the top, then repeat along the back portion of the top of the box.
Repeat on each end of the box, using another stencil design of choice.
Let dry thoroughly. Lightly distress around the edges of the box and drawers with fine-grit sandpaper.
Use a foam brush to apply a thin and even coat of Soft-Touch Varnish to all painted surfaces.
Re-attach the hardware with a screwdriver.
HELPFUL HINTS
If necessary, use a ruler to measure the placement of the stencil. Lightly mark with a pencil, then erase.
