SUPPLIES

    • transfer paper
    • cardboard
    • 1" sponge brush
    • Silhouette electronic cutting machine
    • stencil
    • canvas tote bag

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Prepare the tote bag surface, clearing any debris or wash, if necessary.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Cut out the provided pattern using a Silhouette electronic cutting machine. Lay out the desired stencil.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using the transfer paper, apply the negative of the stencil to the bag's surface. If using a very porous surface, you will want to put something, such as cardboard or a sheet of plastic, on the opposite side of the surface to pick up any paint that may bleed through the surface.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint the desired colors onto the stencil. (Shown: Relic, Carbon, Delicate, and Serene.) (Be sure the stencil is firmly applied prior to painting each section. If not, the paint could bleed underneath the stencil.)
    8. Instruction #4
