Express yourself philosophically on a canvas tote with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™ paints
SUPPLIES
- transfer paper
- cardboard
- 1" sponge brush
- Silhouette electronic cutting machine
- stencil
- canvas tote bag
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the tote bag surface, clearing any debris or wash, if necessary.
- Cut out the provided pattern using a Silhouette electronic cutting machine. Lay out the desired stencil.
- Using the transfer paper, apply the negative of the stencil to the bag's surface. If using a very porous surface, you will want to put something, such as cardboard or a sheet of plastic, on the opposite side of the surface to pick up any paint that may bleed through the surface.
- Paint the desired colors onto the stencil. (Shown: Relic, Carbon, Delicate, and Serene.) (Be sure the stencil is firmly applied prior to painting each section. If not, the paint could bleed underneath the stencil.)
