Gather all supplies, such as metal containers, brushes, and your favorite Chalky Finish colors.
Cover with tape any part of the vase that you don't want painted, such as the handles.
Paint an even layer of paint over the entire surface. Paint smaller vase with Innocence. For the larger vase paint the top half with Everlasting and the bottom half with Escape.
When the paint is almost dry, take a wet paper towel and lightly rub off some of the paint to create a distressed look. After you lightly distress it, remove the tape and allow the paint to dry.
Once the paint is completely dry you can distress it more with fine grit sand paper. Sand it by hand to create the look you want. Seal with desired varnish.
