Glossy Southwestern Luminary

Turn a plain can into a beautiful southwestern luminary with Crafters Acrylic Gloss!

SUPPLIES

    • painter's tape
    • #10 flat brush
    • #1 round brush
    • aluminum can

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use a luminary can of choice, a flat and round brush, and your favorite Crafter's Acrylic Gloss colors. For this color scheme use: Tutti Frutti, Light Antique, Pure Pumpkin, Tropical Blue, Bright Yellow, Wild Green, and Black.

    3. Use a flat brush to mix a rose color using (2) parts Tutti Frutti (1) part Pure Pumpkin and a small amount of Black. Apply painter's tape in the middle of the arrows to create a border on the top and bottom of can. Use same brush to paint the mix on those borders.
    4. Use same brush to mix grey using (2) parts Light Antique White with a small amount of black for the entire middle section. Let dry then trace and transfer the diamond shapes to the can with a pencil. Then use the flat brush to fill in with Light Antique White.

    6. Use a pen or pencil to trace and transfer the details on the southwestern pattern in the diamond shapes.
    7. Use a round brush to paint the details on by using these mixes: Mint (2) parts Light Antique White, (1) part Tropical Blue and a small amount of Wild Green. Dark Pink (2) parts Tutti Frutti (1) part Pure Pumpkin and a small amount of Black. Light Yellow= (1) part Light Antique White with (1) part Bright Yellow.
