French Style Candy Colored Striped Wall Decor

Turn an old frame into a sweet French style candy colored wall decor for any room in your home.
SUPPLIES
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- pencil
- 3/4" flat brush
- sea sponge
- cosmetic sponge
- frame
- 2" painter's tape
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let paint dry between steps and coats.
- Remove glass from frame and thoroughly clean glass with paper towel and rubbing alcohol.
- GLASS - Mask off stripes vertically in 2" increments with painter's tape.
- Start by painting every other stripe. Using a sea sponge lightly dab on yellow frost and pink frost. (clean sponge before changing colors)
- Wait two hours (or longer) and mask off the remaining stripes with 2" painter's tape. Using a sea sponge lightly dab on purple frost and Turquoise frost. (clean sponge before changing colors)
- Center and place the stencil on the glass, secure the corners with painter's tape. Use a pencil and only trace through outer line of the oval. Remove Stencil. Using a 3/4 flat brush paint the oval with two coats of Lace.
- Place stencil over oval and secure the corners with painter's tape. Using a cosmetic sponge lightly dab Relic through the stencil.
- FRAME - Using 3/4 flat brush paint the frames in "rose pink" (mix 3 parts Lace with 1 part Romance)
- Using 3/4 flat brush paint Frame with two coats of Lace. Once completely dry, lightly sand so the "rose pink" shows through distressed/sanded areas.
- Place glass back into frame and secure in place.
