    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Paint the entire canvas Navy Blue using a 3/4" flat brush.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Mix Snow-Tex with Asphaltum to create a tan mix. Apply the mix on the canvas front and sides using a palette knife. (Leave some areas thicker and some thinner.) Allow to dry completely before continuing.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using a 1/2" flat brush, paint the Snow-Tex areas in Asphaltum.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Using the 1/2" flat brush, blend some of the Navy Blue back into the Asphaltum. With a sea sponge, lightly sponge on Rich Espresso over the Asphaltum areas.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Mix together Burnt Orange and Rich Espresso to create a rusty orange color. Lightly use the sea sponge to apply color. (Save mix for next step.) If too much is applied, sponge Asphaltum and Navy Blue back over it. Let dry. Load a small amount of Sea Breeze onto a sea sponge. Pounce and wipe away some of the Sea Breeze color to create a patina effect.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Use the Burnt Orange/Rich Espresso mix to stencil on desired arrows from the Americana Array of Arrows Stencil using a cosmetic sponge. (Be sparing with the paint on the sponge to allow some of the color underneath to show through.)
