NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Stencil the burlap banner with the word "s'mores" using the Initial Impressions - Quirky Stencil. (Use a stencil brush and Poppy.)
    Step 0 Example
  2. Use part of the letter "t" for the exclamation point. For the dot, dip a small round pouncer into a small amount of paint and lightly apply to the banner.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Paint a picture frame in Orange Sherbet.
    Step 2 Example
  4. If desired, lightly distress with fine-grit sandpaper. Wipe off dust with a paper towel.
    Step 3 Example
  5. Print off and cut out the menu and place inside the frame.
    Step 4 Example
  6. For mini chalkboards, paint one side of the wooden ovals with two coats of Chalkboard Paint. (Hint: For the first coat, brush horizontally. Let dry 1 hour. For the second coat, brush vertically. Let dry 24 hours, then cure by rubbing the entire surface with the flat side of a piece of chalk. Wipe off with damp cloth or eraser.)
    Step 5 Example
  7. Use a hot glue gun or E6000 Glue to attach a clothespin to the back of each oval.
    Step 6 Example
  8. To create containers to hold the s'mores fixings, cover small cardboard "fry boxes" with scrapbook paper. First create a template by carefully taking the box apart.
    Step 7 Example
  9. Trace the box onto scrapbook paper and cut out.
    Step 8 Example
  10. Glue to the outside of the box with a glue stick.
    Step 9 Example
  11. Mix together School Bus and Pumpkin Patch to achieve desired color. Paint the outside of the metal caddy with the mix.
    Step 10 Example

Use a pencil sharpener to sharpen the chalk so it will write a bit neater.

When stenciling letters, tape over the adjacent letters with stencil tape if necessary.
