Your work space takes on a colorful vibrancy with Americana Decor Stencils and Chalky Finish paint.

SUPPLIES

• paper towels
• sandpaper
• 2" flat brush
• primer (optional)
• school desk
• 1" stencil brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Remove the drawer hardware.
2. Prime the visible surfaces of the desk. (This is optional, but more Chalky Paint will be needed if not the priming is done.)

3. Paint the visible surfaces of the desk with Smitten. Allow the paint to dry between coats.

4. Position the Americana Decor Brocade Motif Stencil randomly over the desk surface. As the stenciling reaches the top, bend the stencil so it can continue to the top of the desk. Use a stencil brush and Everlasting. Paint the drawer pulls in Everlasting.

5. Distress the desk by lightly sanding the entire thing. (Focus on letting some of the natural wood color show through on the edges and corners.) Distress the drawer pulls as well.
