Small Plum Colored Cabinet with Flowers

Bring the freshness of plum into your home with this fun little cabinet.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- pencil
- #3 round brush
- 1" flat brush
- wooden cabinet
- 1/2" flat brush
- clean cloth
- 3 clean jars with lids
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Use the jars to save the paint colors you mix in step 2.
- Wipe off the cabinet with a damp clean cloth.
- Mix three custom colors: Army Green is made with 5:1 Enchanted to Rustic. Plum is made with 1:2:2 Relic to Romance to Legacy. Medium Grey is made with 1:3 Relic to Primitive. (Be sure to mix a lot of Plum and save it.)
- Paint the entire cabinet, knobs and all, with Plum mix with the 1" flat brush.
- With the 1/2" flat brush, paint the areas that are Medium Grey with Relic/Primitive mix. (Refer to photo for color placement.)
- Paint the trim areas with Army Green mix using the 1/2" flat brush.
- Using a pencil and tracing and transfer papers, transfer the flower pattern to the cabinet doors.
- Use the three color mixes and the #3 round brush to fill in the flowers. For the lighter plum, mix 1:1 Plum mix to Everlasting on the palette or plastic plate. Use this mix to fill in the lighter plum areas.
