Glittery Skull Halloween Plaque

Practice some crafting skullduggery with this glittering wall plaque for Halloween.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- pencil
- #10 flat brush
- #1 liner brush
- #1 round brush
- oval wooden plaque
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the outline of the outer skull shape only on the wooden plaque.
- Use a #10 flat brush and Margarita to paint the inner part of the plaque. Rinse brush. Use a #10 flat brush and Purple Rain to paint the border. Rinse brush. Let completely dry.
- Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the skull details and roses.
- Use a #1 round brush and Cinnamon Drop to fill in the roses. Use the same brush to add a small amount of Snow White to highlight the roses. Rinse brush.
- Use #1 round brush to mix (1) part Snow White with a very small amount of Lamp Black to make a light grey mix. Use the mix to paint on the spider web and to shade the teeth and outer edge of the skull. Rinse brush.
- Use a #1 liner brush and Lamp Black to fill in the eyes and nose and to outline the skull; roses; flower petals around the eyes; vines on the sides of the head; mouth; and teeth. Rinse brush.
- Use a #1 round brush and Silver Craft Twinkles to fill in the leaves on the vines, spider web, flower petals around the eyes, and teeth. Rinse brush.
- Use a #1 round brush and Christmas Red Craft Twinkles to fill in the roses. (Let the Lamp Black outline show through.) Rinse brush.
- Use the handle end of a #1 liner brush and Purple Rain to add random polka dots around the Margarita background. Wipe off the handle.
- Use a #10 flat brush and Purple Princess to fill in the Purple Rain border. Rinse brush.
