mermaid figurine (plastic or ceramic)
INSTRUCTIONS
Paint the mermaid's skin Slate Grey; her tail, Peacock Teal; and the bottom of her fin, Lavender. Let dry.
Basecoat the rock(s) and shell accents using various sea-themed colors such as Peacock Teal and Lavender. (Make sure at least one rock is flat and wide enough to set the mermaid on.) Let dry.
Once the basecoat has dried, ombre the mermaid's tail starting with Aurora Borealis Green at her waist. Gradually blend to Aqua Meteor on her thighs. Blend Aqua Meteor from her knees to her legs, and finally blend into Milky Way Blue. On her fin, create the ombre effect using Ultraviolet to Deep Space Blue on the tips of her fins. Paint her bikini top Ultraviolet.
Paint her hair, skin, face, arms, and torso, Silver Moon. Let dry.
Glitter the shells and rock(s) using a variety of the Galaxy Glitter paints listed. (An ombre effect can be used on the shells and rock(s) as well.) Let dry.
Place the mermaid on the glittered rock and use the shells to surround the mermaid to complete an under-the-sea scene.
