Create a sense of nostalgia with these Christmas village houses using Dazzling Metallics®.

SUPPLIES

• sandpaper
• painter's or masking tape
• palette knife
• E6000 Glue
• pipe cleaners
• lint free rags
• palette or plastic plate
• paintbrushes
• bottle brush trees
• miniature deer
• townhouse birdhouses

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

Use painter's tape to mask off areas as you proceed.

1. Prepare the houses by gently sanding any rough areas or edges, then wiping with a damp cloth.

2. Paint each house with a basecoat of Cotton Ball. Let dry. Paint the steps with a coat of Dolphin.

3. Paint each roof and door in Festive Red. Paint the sides of each house: one in Crystal Green and the other in Teal. Paint the steps with Shimmering Silver. Paint the windows and the base of each house with White Pearl. Dab a bit of Rose Gold onto each doorknob.

4. Paint a coat of Emerald on the Crystal Green house and Aqua on the Teal house. Add Crystal Craft Twinkles to the windows and Christmas Red Craft Twinkles to the doors.

5. Bottle Brush Trees: Paint two trees with Teal. Paint a third tree with Crystal Green and then add a coat of Emerald to that tree.

6. Wreaths: Cut, twist, and shape pipe cleaners into miniature wreaths to fit the windows and doors of each house. Attach the bottle brush trees, deer, and wreaths to each house with E6000 Glue.

7. With a palette knife, take a small scoop of Glistening Snow-Tex and pat onto the roof of each house. Continue working in small amounts, smoothing and patting down until you like the look. Repeat around the base of each house, including around the trees and deer.
