Add a summer theme to meal time with this placemat and napkin and ring table setting.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• pencil
• #3 round brush
• craft glue
• #6 round brush
• linen or canvas fabric
• placemat
• napkin
• piece of PVC pipe
• grey transfer paper

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Use a #6 round brush to water down Flamingo, Cocoa Bean, Chartreuse, and Coastal Waters separately. Paint watercolored sea plants for both placemat and napkin backgrounds. Rinse brush.
2. Use a pencil or pen with grey transfer paper to transfer patterns to placemat, napkin, and linen or canvas fabric.
3. Use scissors to cut the fabric into a band to fit around the PVC pipe.
4. Use a #6 round brush and load with Eggplant to stipple paint over the whole outer part of the PVC pipe. Rinse brush and let dry completely.
5. Use a #3 round brush to water down Paprika, Coastal Waters, Steel Grey, Cocoa Bean, Pumpkin Patch, Eggplant, Blue Bird, Flamingo, and Brown Sugar. Use colors separately to shade shells, starfish, sand dollar, seahorse, and bubbles on placemat, napkin, and napkin ring. Rinse brush.
6. Use a #3 round brush to outline shells, starfish, sand dollar, seahorse, and bubbles in the same colors as step 5 but without water added. Rinse brush.
7. Use craft glue to attach the fabric to the PVC pipe for napkin ring.
