SUPPLIES
- ruler
- cardboard
- iron
- computer and printer
- long sleeve white t-shirt
- #10 dome blender
- freezer paper
- craft knife
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Prewash the t-shirt before beginning.
- Print off the 4-leaf shamrock shape from the computer onto plain paper. Lay the shamrock under the freezer paper. Use a craft knife to cut the shamrock out of the freezer paper. Iron the freezer paper to the front of the t-shirt.
- Separately mix Holly Green, Yellow Green, Festive Green, Citron Green, and Sour Apple 2 to 1 with Fabric Painting Medium using a #10 dome blender brush.
- Use a ruler to space out the colors evenly. (TIP: Write on the freezer paper with a pen or pencil where the colors will change.)
- Insert the scrap cardboard or cardstock inside the shirt. Using a 1/2" flat brush, paint with each color starting with the darkest on the bottom, applying two coats of each color. Use a ruler as a guide for the lines. (The lines between colors should slightly overlap). Let dry between coats and between colors.
- When dry, remove the freezer paper stencil by pulling away from the shirt. Air-dry for 24 to 48 hours and then heat set for 30 seconds with an iron. (TIP: The painted t-shirt should be washed inside out on a gentle cycle.)
