  • Blue Lagoon (DA526)
  • True Blue (DA528)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • scissors
  • terrarium (hanging teardrop shape at michaels)
  • fine liner brush

  1. Cut out the pattern provided and place it on the inside of the glass teardrop. With a fine liner brush and Blue Lagoon, trace the outline and fill in the area. Let dry and remove pattern from teardrop.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Using a fine liner brush, add details to the seahorse in True Blue: Add segments about every 1/2" along the belly, letting the line extend out from the edge just slightly to emphasize each section. Add shading to each segment with the majority of the shading toward the front of the belly in the form of hatching. Add shading to the neck, the back fins, the head, and a circle for the eye. (See photo.)
    Step 1 Example
  3. Using Baby Blue, add highlights all over. (See photo.) Have two sets of highlighted lines running down the length of the belly.
