Plain wooden coasters become sparkling summer accents with Americana® Acrylics and Dazzling Metallics™.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• tracing paper
• transfer paper
• pencil
• #6 flat brush
• #8 flat brush
• #4 flat brush
• clear pine craft wooden coasters (2 sets)
• 1" foam brush
• #2 flat brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Allow to dry between painting steps.

1. Print off the pattern and use a pencil to trace and transfer the images onto the coasters.
2. Use the #8 flat brush to apply Baby Blue and Calypso Blue stripes. For small details, use the #6 or #2 flat brush. (See photo for color placement.)
3. Let dry and continue applying the same colors to the next three coasters. Rinse brushes.
4. Apply Snow White with the #8 flat brush (or the #6 or the #4 flat brush for smaller details). Let dry and continue applying the same color on the other three coasters. (Two coats are needed.) (See photo for color placement.)
5. Apply Emperor’s Gold with the #6 or #2 flat brush. (See photo for color placement.) Let it dry.
6. Apply DuraClear Satin Varnish with a foam brush to each coaster. Let dry and apply a second coat for best results.
