"Road to Learning" School Bus Chalkboard

Create a cute and functional school bus chalkboard, a gift any teacher would love.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- liner brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- #8 round brush
- craft glue
- white pencil
- red and white gingham ribbon
- school themed scrapbook paper
- 12" x 7-1/2" sign
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Using 3/4 flat brush coat surface with chalk board paint - One coat vertically and one coat horizontally
- Trace pattern onto surface with a white pencil.
- Using #8 round brush paint the grass Leprechaun and while still wet, double load the brush with Leprechaun and Cottonball and add grass accents with horizontal strokes. Paint the road using #8 round brush with Steel Grey (Optional - add just a bit of chalkboard paint to make it darker. Using #8 round brush add dotted lines in the middle of the road.
- Using #8 round brush paint bus in Cottonball.
- Using #8 brush paint over the bus, in School Bus.
- Using #8 round brush add details to bus (refer to photo) in Grey Steel, Lipstick, Cotton ball and chalkboard paint.
- Print words in caps onto scrapbook paper "THE ROAD TO LEARNING STARTS HERE" Cut out and decoupage in place using 3/4 flat brush.
- Cut ribbon approx 16 inches long, and glue to the back side.
