  1. Use scissors to cut burlap two inches larger than frame opening.
  2. Use ruler to measure off rectangle, slightly smaller than frame opening. Use painter's tape to mask off rectangle.
  3. Use 3/4" flat brush to apply Buttermilk inside taped off rectangle. Remove tape.
  4. Position stencil letters of your choice on rectangle to create monogram or name.
  5. Use stencil brush and Antique Gold to stencil lettering. Set aside to dry.
  6. Use sponge brush to and Lamp Black to paint frame. When dry, distress with sanding block or sandpaper.
  7. Position and attach burlap to back side of frame with staple gun and staples.
  8. Position and attach metal hook/hangers on back side of frame with screwdriver.

A piece of cardstock or thin cardboard can be positioned and attached to create a backing on the frame. This will prevent the wall from being marred and make the burlap more opaque.
